This is the last parade of our season. We now have a looooong wait until Guavaween. Some of the Krewe got hotel rooms and made a weekend out of it. Some just came down for the parade. This parade has the best crowd.
Most of us met at the Days Inn and waited for the float to arrive. We rode the float to the staging area. We got set up, cranked on some tunes, poured drinks and then were able to sit in our chairs and relax a bit. We eventually turned off the music because we were losing the battle of stereo systems.
There were 170 floats, bands and other "units." We were number 144 so we got to party longer before having to get ready.
